Two kinds of folks in today’s world - the old guard tool, and the new era luminary. Choose your team wisely friends.
The phenomenal success of the Bitcoin spot ETFs cannot be overstated.
Today there was some concern in the community, because some coins mined in 2010 — only a year after Bitcoin mainnet launched — went up for sale.
As I said over on Twitter, I think we have to honor these ultra early adopters… if it’s who I think it is, she got her coins below 1 penny apiece and has sat on them — watched the community grow — for 14 years.
The need for money is larger as you get older; less runway lifespan-wise means you want to have more fun, and less stress.
I don’t fault her for selling. We should all raise a toast to her!
There aren’t many early adopters who still have coins from 2010.
For what it’s worth, I bought more today. Bitcoin is not only the truth community’s biggest success to date, it’s the directional bet of 2024.
2010 early adopter rando tired of the young person’s game… or Bill Miller, Eric Schmidt, Jacks Dorsey and Mallers, Zuckerberg, SAYLOR, BlackRock, and Fidelity.
I know which side I’m betting on, and I don’t see any remaining real predators in Bitcoin’s way.
