Musk To Rebrand Twitter as "X" Immediately
Elon Musk told a Spaces live hangout last night that he has dispatched a team with "blowtorches" to remove the large metallic Twitter sign attached to Twitter's San Francisco HQ office.
Later today, American social media giant Twitter is expected to be no more.
The entire platform will be renamed and rebranded to X — the realization of his long anticipated “everything” app that bundles personal finance, social media, and even perhaps food delivery and classified listings in one place.
Some have speculated — myself included — that once Musk is free of the Twitter name, while still retaining all the users, he may decide to resume the Twitter Files.
The Twitter Files showed an unacceptable level of collusion between baddies in DC, and Twitter’s censorship board.
Perhaps with President Biden and Senator Elizabeth Warren calling for serious investigations into Musk and his businesses, he has finally had enough.
Some of you asked what Lara Logan specifically tweeted about adreno. Screenshots below. (Logan is a right leaning investigative journalist who has been retweeted multiple times by Musk in the recent past.)
She also interestingly tweeted some stuff about John Podesta during the same time period, alleging he was involved in 2020 election malfeasance.
As someone on Reddit astutely pointed out, the government-funded research that Logan came across regarding adreno was conducted in the early 1980s — before the Internet existed. They could do such research, and publish their findings, with little outside attention or interest from the general public… unlike today, of course.
Be sure to follow me on Twitter, err uh X, as this strange weekend unfolds.
