Making Sense of Elon Musk's $43 billion bid for Twitter
He'd be better served by putting that $43 billion into developing an entirely new social media platform, in my view.
Some thoughts on recent news that Elon Musk has made an offer to take Twitter Inc private:

Just analysis, not financial advice or expert opinion.
Elon Musk is very smart, so I assume he understands the value of Twitter, whatever that value is, and has bid accordingly in line with his views.
But from my perspective — Twitter is old news. $4 billion, not to mention $40 billion, would be enough to start the new social media generation… long overdue. Something blockchain-based, identity resilient, and censorship proof. Why not?
Twitter isn’t the future, it’s the divisive past. The new social media should put permanence of content and freedom of speech above all else, and that will require something tightly tailored to the blockchain’s irreversible characteristics.
