4 Years Later: David Seaman, Former YouTuber & Podcast Show Host
I think canceling law abiding human beings from their Amendment One privileges is disgusting, and should be opposed. But victim's luck, I've done better than I ever could have as a YouTuber.
I caught the early tail of the Cancel Culture, having my six-figure and ~200,000 subscriber YouTube presence summarily deleted from the Internet back in February 2018. Some great interviews were lost, like the early days interview with Ethereum inventor Vitalik Buterin, years before it became a half trillion dollar network — and other crypto big brains. Conversations just lost forever, to YouTube’s political rash of the day.
As of next month, I somehow survived four years without a big voice. A still quiet voice, instead.
I created a TikTok last year and got 2 million views in no time, wild how many out there remembered me, but was then banned for getting into it with a TikToker about the illegal-to-criticize (apparently!) mRNA injection suite.
Video fame isn’t worth it anyway. Easily given, easily taken.
Wealth always has to be earned. Wealth of any kind, and awareness is a form of wealth. What makes me so different from the other 4.01 billion men on the planet?
Things are moving elsewhere. Video is out, so I was inoculated against the extinction years before it occurred. In those four years, I built up the FULCRUM brand into what it is today (with our great team’s help), and although my income was very limited, so too was my focus honed: in those deplatformed years I paid attention to very small investments, that became fairly big.
I read these business magazines and shake my head. They’re congratulating me on stuff we realized as a company, and dove into, beginning early 2019. Pre-pandemic. The pandemic made crypto. It was floundering, and would have been outlawed eventually, if not for all the billionaires and politicians who now see it as their umbrella and the bridge to the future — a unified, better, rational future.
I worked hard, so I don’t mind these fruits of my labor, but the work is not yet done. Let’s go all the way.
2022 is going to be our year, for crypto, and for the media company we started five years ago.
Thank you all!
